New Arrivals

Happy New Year everyone!

Our prayer for you all is that you may continue to draw closer to the Lord and experience the power of His might this year. Our new year begin with a lot of activity at the village. The children were busy helping the adults cleaning the 2nd cottage in preparation of the next group of children who were due to arrive on Wednesday, January 2nd. Some workers were putting the final touches such painting or cleaning off spilled paint, others were fitting locks on the doors, while yet others were checking the plumbing to make sure there was a smooth flow of water in and out of the house.

Finally on Wednesday, The big day arrived! There was a lot of excitement because we have been praying for each of these children and for many of us, today was the first time we were actually going to meet them face to face! Kamau and Miriam, the Village social worker, left to pick up the children. Upon their return, the children at the village must have been looking out for the appearance of the vehicle because they were all lined up like a welcoming committee waiting to greet and meet their new friends. Eight children arrived five boys and three girls the fourth girl was to arrive the next day on Thursday. Two of boys cried a bit when they were separated from the guardians but they soon regained their composure and later on they joined in the playing with the other children.
